How this site handles your data
Last updated: September 2026
This is the personal portfolio of Jon Luangviseth, trading as INKSET (“I”, “me”), at portfolio.inkset.co.uk. It exists to show design work. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no payments, and nothing is sold. This page explains the small amount of data the site collects and why.
What’s collected
Usage analytics & session replay (PostHog)
I use PostHog, hosted on servers in the European Union, to understand how the site is used so I can improve it. This covers:
- pages visited, and how you move between them;
- approximate location (country / region), derived from your IP address, which is not itself stored;
- device type, browser, operating system and screen size;
- the site that referred you here, if any;
- on-page interactions such as clicks and how far down a page you scroll;
- anonymised recordings of page sessions (mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and navigation). Keyboard input is masked and not captured. These recordings are used only to spot usability problems.
PostHog stores a first-party identifier in your browser so returning visits aren’t double-counted. It is not used for advertising and is never shared with or sold to third parties. If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signal, this tracking is disabled automatically.
Aggregate traffic stats (Vercel)
The site is hosted on Vercel, which provides cookie-free, aggregate visitor counts and, as part of serving the site securely, processes standard server logs (including IP address and browser user-agent) for a short period.
If you contact me
If you email or call using the details in the footer, I keep that correspondence so I can reply and follow up. I don’t add you to any mailing list.
Cookies and local storage
The site itself stores a single preference on your device (your light or dark theme choice). PostHog stores a first-party analytics identifier as described above. No third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Legal basis
Under UK GDPR, the analytics described here rely on my legitimate interest in running and improving a personal portfolio, kept proportionate by collecting minimal data, anonymised where possible, and hosted in the EU. Contact correspondence relies on legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
How long it’s kept
Analytics events are retained by PostHog for up to 12 months and then deleted. Session recordings are kept for a shorter period (typically 30 days). Server logs at the host are rotated automatically within a few weeks. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the enquiry.
Who processes the data
- PostHog, for analytics and session replay (EU hosting).
- Vercel, for site hosting and aggregate analytics.
Your rights
You can ask me what data relates to you, ask for it to be deleted, or object to the analytics processing. Email jon@inkset.co.uk and I’ll action it. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date above will change with it.
